The Radical Southern Belle

Cultural stewardship through storytelling, research, and remembrance rooted in Southern Black memory.

Meet the Radical Southern Belle

I’m Kratina Baker — cultural strategist, storyteller, and founder of The Radical Southern Belle. Rooted in the American South, my work explores memory, power, and the stories that shape Black life in this region. Grounded in ancestral memory and the belief that those who came before us deserve to be remembered with truth and dignity, I write and reflect on how history lives in our everyday choices — and how remembering can guide us toward liberation.
